Excellent idea - Blogs are the Town Halls of the new century - when done right, it's a great way to exchange ideas for our common good.

I sent an anonymous report of a possible zoning violation to the zoning inspector back at the end of December. A Northfield Center resident has a very large boat under a blue tarp parked at the very back corner of his property. It puts it within a few feet of three of his neighbors. He also has two other storage items, one sitting in his driveway and the other in his back yard. Why isn't the zoning inspector acting on this possible violation? Does the zoning inspector routinely drive through the center looking for violations? If not, why not? If so, why did he/she not see this obvious violation since it is on Old Rt 8? I am writing this because I love the Center and am trying to understand how zoning works. It would be great to hear a response from the zoning inspector on this blog.
