LT. FRANK RISKO

SUMMIT COUNTY FIREFIGHTER OF THE YEAR

Northfield Center Fire Department Lieutenant Frank Risko received the Summit County Firefighter of the Year Award from the Summit County Firefighters’ Association.

The Award was presented to him at the Northfield Center Fire Station on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, during a meeting of the Summit County Firefighters' Association, hosted by the Northfield Center Fire Department. He also was awarded a plaque from the Northfield Center

Board of Trustees and a Resolution from the Sagamore Hills Board of Trustees.

Frank was recognized because of his active involvement with the Summit County Firefighters’ Association, of which he has been Secretary for years, and for his many years of contributions to the Northfield Center Fire Department.

He is involved with Fire Prevention in both Northfield Center and Sagamore Hills Townships, and is also Public Information Officer for the NCFD.

Frank is responsible for coordinating Fire Department participation/education in various neighborhood block parties and events, and fire prevention education in local schools.

Lt. Risko has also been extremely active "behind the scenes" in Fire Department matters.

RESOLUTION NO. 06/10-16a

WHEREAS, Northfield Center Fire Department Lieutenant Frank Risko received the

Summit County Firefighter of the Year Award from the

Summit County Firefighters’ Association; and

WHEREAS, Frank was recognized because of his active involvement with the

Summit County Firefighters’ Association, of which he has been Secretary

for years, and for his many years of contributions to the Northfield Center

Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, He is responsible for coordinating Fire Department participation/education

in various neighborhood block parties and events, and fire prevention education in
local schools; and

WHEREAS, This dedicated Firefighter/EMT is involved with Fire Prevention in

both Northfield Center and Sagamore Hills Townships, and is also

Public Information Officer for the Northfield Center Fire Department;

THEREFORE,

The Northfield Center Township Board of Trustees, on behalf of the

Township Residents, hereby commends Lt. Frank Risko for his years of

hard work and perseverance in the service of the entire Nordonia Hills Area.
