Summit County ReWorks to Hold Document Shredding and Recycling Event on Saturday, September 12th

The next Summit County ReWorks Document Shredding and Recycling Event is next Saturday, September 12, 2020.  It is to be held at the Barberton Community (BCF) Sports Complex.  The BCF Sports Complex is located at 841 Wooster Road West, 44203.  The hours of operation will be 9 AM to noon.

Please place the documents to be shredded in your vehicle’s trunk or the back of your truck.  There is a limit of 10 file boxes/grocery bags per vehicle.  And remember that, for this year, you shouldn’t use nice boxes you’d want back when transporting, as ReWorks are not returning containers at Document Shredding and Recycling Events either.

One question that does come up for these events is:  “Can I attend a shredding event in a city where I don’t live?”
The answer is yes, as long as you are a Summit County resident or business.  ReWorks, a quasi- government agency,  is the solid waste management authority for all of Summit County.  ReWorks moves these events around the county, with the goal of reaching as many Summit County residents as possible.
